With 5 new cases, Nigeria’s COVID-19 figure now 214

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday night said that the country has recorded five new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of infections in the country to 214.

On Thursday, Nigeria recorded a total of 10 new cases and the figure doubled to 20 on Friday.

The total number of confirmed cases was 184 on Thursday and 190 on Friday. On Saturday, the figure was 209.

The NCDC said via its Twitter handle: “Five new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 3 in Bauchi and 2 in the FCT. As at 10:10 pm 4th April there are 214 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Twenty-five have been discharged with four deaths.”

For a breakdown of cases by States, Lagos maintained its Saturday figure of 109, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) – 43, Osun – 22, Oyo – 8, Ogun – 4, Edo – 7, Kaduna – 4, Bauchi – 6, Enugu – 2, Ekiti – 2, Rivers -1, Benue – 1, Akwa Ibom – 5 and 1 in Ondo.
