Nigerian, Nigerien Troops “Decimate” Boko Haram/Iswap Fighters in Borno

The Nigerian Army Force from the 403 Special Forces Brigade Baga, supported by the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole and some troops from the Niger Republic on Monday took out Boko Haram/ISWAP elements who position along Tumbun Rago and Tumbun Fulani areas in Kure Village to daily make lives unbearable for villagers in that axis.

The encounter saw the Nigerian troops dealing decisively with the terrorist group, as men from the cell suffered heavy casualty during the faceoff, while a number of them received gunshot wounds and escaped without their weapons.

Some of the items recovered by Nigerian troops include; One Gun Truck, One Anti Aircraft Gun, One Motorcycle. Others are One Light Machine Gun, One AK 47 Rifle and a magazine, Two Hundred and Twenty Seven (227) rounds of 12.7 mm ammunition and ten (10) rounds of 7.62 mm Special ammunition. 

The gallant joint military task force showed superior fire power as no casualty was recorded during the encounter, also no equipment was lost to the fleeing terrorist.
