Update: Nigeria records 204 new cases of COVID-19, total now 1,932

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday night announced a record 204 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 1,932.

The NCDC also said that a total of 12 recoveries and seven deaths were recorded in Nigeria all through Thursday.

According to NCDC in its Twitter handle, “204 new cases of #COVID19 reported; 80-Kano, 45-Lagos, 12-Gombe, 9-Bauchi, 9-Sokoto, 7-Borno, 7-Edo, 6-Rivers, 6-Ogun, 4-FCT, 4-Akwa Ibom, 4-Bayelsa, 3-Kaduna, 2-Oyo, 2-Delta, 2-Nasarawa, 1-Ondo,1-Kebbi. As at 11:50pm 30th April- 1,932 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria with 319 Discharged and 58 Deaths.

“As of April 30 2020, 34 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Nigeria have recorded at least one confirmed case of #COVID19. 71 per cent of all cases are from three States (Lagos, Kano and FCT). No new State has reported a case in the last 24 hours.”

“For a breakdown of confirmed cases by States, as at 11:55pm 30th April, Lagos State currently had 976, FCT-178, Kano-219, Ogun-56, Osun-34, Gombe-76, Katsina-40, Borno-66, Edo-44, Oyo-23, Kwara-11, Akwa Ibom-16, Bauchi-38, Kaduna-30, Ekiti-8, Ondo-9, Delta-9, Rivers-13, Jigawa-7, Enugu-3, Niger-2, Abia-2, Zamfara-4, Sokoto-36, Benue-1, Anambra-1, Adamawa-2, Plateau-1, Imo-1, Taraba 8, Bayelsa 5, Ebonyi 2, Kebbi 2, Nasarawa-3, Yobe 1”
