Update: Nigeria records 195 new cases of COVID-19, total now 3,145

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday night announced 195 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 3,145.

The NCDC also announced that 53 recoveries and five deaths recorded in Nigeria all through Wednesday.

According to NCDC in its official Twitter handle, “195 new cases of #COVID19; 82-Lagos, 30-Kano, 19-Zamfara, 18-Sokoto, 10-Borno, 9-FCT, 8-Oyo, 5-Kebbi, 5-Gombe, 4-Ogun, 3-Katsina, 1-Kaduna, 1-Adamawa.

“As of May 6th, 3145 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria with 534 and Discharged 103 Deaths. As of May 6th 2020, 34 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Nigeria have recorded at least one confirmed case of  COVID19

“For a breakdown of confirmed cases by States, as of 6th of May; Lagos State currenfly have 1308, FCT-316, Kano-427, Ogun-95, Osun-35, Gombe-101, Katsina-95, Borno-116, Edo-65, Oyo-52, Kwara-14, Akwa Ibom-16, Bauchi-83, Kaduna-85, Ekiti-12, Ondo-13, Delta-17, Rivers-14, Jigawa-39, Enugu-4, Niger-4, Abia-2, Zamfara-46, Sokoto-85, Benue-2, Anambra-1, Adamawa-15, Plateau-2, Imo-2, Taraba 15, Bayelsa 5, Ebonyi 3, Kebbi 8, Nasarawa-12, Yobe 4.”
