Global COVID-19 Statistics (in Continents) as at 14 June 2020@12 noon

The human cost of Coronavirus (COVID-19) has continued to mount, with more than 7.57 million cases confirmed globally and more than 418,600 people known to have died.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the outbreak a pandemic and it has spread to more than 200 countries around the world.

Below is an up-to-date narrative of the spread of Covid-19 as of 14 June 2020 @12noon.

Africa: 233,528 confirmed cases. The five countries reporting most cases are South Africa (65,736), Egypt (42,980), Nigeria (15,682), Ghana (11,118) and Algeria (10,810).

Asia: 1,557 541 confirmed cases. The five countries reporting most cases are India (320,922), Iran (184,955), Turkey (176,677), Pakistan (139,230) and Saudi Arabia (123,308).

America: 3,788,548 confirmed cases. The five countries reporting most cases are United States (2,074 526), Brazil (850,514), Peru (225,132), Chile (167,355) and Mexico (142,690).

Europe: 2,170,600 cases. The five countries reporting most cases are Russia (520,129), United Kingdom (294,375), Spain (243,605), Italy (236,651) and Germany (186,269).

Oceania: 8,766 cases. The five countries reporting most cases are Australia (7,290), New Zealand (1,154), Guam (185), French Polynesia (60) and Northern Mariana Islands (30).

Other: 696 cases have been reported from an international conveyance in Japan.

Deaths have been reported from:

Africa: 6,294 deaths. The five countries reporting most deaths are Egypt (1,484), South Africa (1,423), Algeria (760), Sudan (433) and Nigeria (407).

Asia: 39,147 deaths. The five countries reporting most deaths are India (9,195), Iran (8,730), Turkey (4,792), China (4,638) and Pakistan (2,632).

America: 201,874 deaths. The five countries reporting most deaths are United States (115,436), Brazil (42,720), Mexico (16,872), Canada (8,107) and Peru (6,498).

Europe: 182,674 deaths. The five countries reporting most deaths are United Kingdom (41,662), Italy (34,301), France (29,398), Spain (27,136) and Belgium (9,650).

Oceania: 131 deaths; the four countries reporting deaths are Australia (102), New Zealand (22), Guam (5) and Northern Mariana Islands (2).

Other: 7 deaths have been reported from an international conveyance in Japan.
