Canadian govt “strongly” advice citizens to shelve all travels abroad

The Government of Canada has “strongly” advised Canadians to cancel or postpone any non-essential travel, including vacation plans, outside Canada.

According to a tweet on Wednesday from the Canadian High Commission in Nigeria, the Canadian government also advice all its citizens to seek more information especially on “entering Canada by land during COVID-19 and Entering Canada by air during COVID.”

The High Commission said that “these new measures are in addition to existing mandatory pre-boarding and health requirements for air travellers.

“This means that travellers will still be denied boarding if they don’t meet the pre-boarding molecular test (PCR) requirements.”
