Navy constitutes Board of Inquiry into capsized burning boat in Lagos waterways

The Nigerian Navy has constituted a Board of Inquiry (BOI) into the trending video of its personnel who on Monday escaped death after its vessel capsized along the Lagos Waterways.

In the trending video, the Naval vessel was seen burning in the background while the personnel waited for evacuation.

They had moved to safety with some of them submerged in the swampy mud waters before they were rescued.

A source said that “the Board of Inquiry (BOI) into the capsizing has already commenced work towards unearthing the source of the fire and the capsizing of the vessel, whether it was caused by human or mechanical error and to find ways to stop any future occurrence.”
