3-day NIPR workshop on Lobbying and Social Change in Nigeria begins Thursday in Calabar, General Usman delivers Keynote address

A three-day Nigerian Institute of Public Relations Workshop on Lobbying and Social Change in Nigeria begins on Thursday in  at Transcorp Hotel, Calabar, Cross River State.

The workshop begins with a keynote address to be delivered by the former Director of Army Public Relations and Public Relations Consultant, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman (retired).

General Usman will be speaking on Lobbying as Public Relations Function and Catalyst for National Development.

The 3-day event will be declared open by Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade and is expected to be chaired by Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture.

Those also billed to be at the event include the Plateau State Governor and Chairman of Northern Governors Forum, Simon Bako Lalong; National President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Mallam Mukhtar Zubairu Sirajo and the Chairman NIPR Education Advisory Board, Professor Emmanuel Dandaura.

Other Speakers include renowned Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, Professor Joy Ngozi Ezeilo, Professor Godwin Bassey Okon of Rivers State University and Amaopusenibo Bobo Sofiri Brown, who will make a presentation during the Professional roundtable of the workshop.
