Muhammed Adamu Sacked As Buhari Appoints Baba Acting IGP

President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked Mohammed Adamu as Inspector General of Police (IGP) and approved the appointment of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Usman Alkali Baba as Acting IGP.

The appointment is with immediate effect, according to the Minister of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi.

Buhari had on February 4th extended the tenure of Mohammed Adamu as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for three months.

Adamu had spent two months and three days. 

The appointment of DIG Baba was disclosed by Alhaji Dingyadi on Tuesday at the presidential Villa, Abuja.
