Nigeria records 14 COVID-19 new infections, lowest since April 11, 2020

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says that Nigeria recorded 14 fresh Coronavirus (COVID-19) infections on Sunday, the lowest figure since April 11, 2020.

On April 14, 2020, Nigeria recorded the same figure of 14 new infections.

Nigeria recorded the highest figure of 2,314 COVID-19 infections on January 22, 2021.

The NCDC also reported zero death from COVID-19 complications on Sunday, leaving the death toll at 2,063.

Also, 252 persons were discharged on Sunday after recovering from the infection from various isolation centres across the country.

Altogether, Nigeria has recorded 165,167 COVID-19 cases across the 36 States of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Out of this number, 155,361 patients were treated and discharged while 7,743 are active cases.

The Nigerian health agency said that the 14 new infections was recorded from six States and the FCT, with Osun, Ogun and Kaduna three each, Akwa Ibom (2), Abia (1), FCT (1), and Kwara (1).
