Bandits kill 19, burn down Tsauwa village, Katsina State

Bandits have attacked Tsauwa village, Batsari Local Government Area, Katsina State, killing 19 residents, while burning down many of the houses in the village.

Sources said that the incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday.

The bandits also looted any valuable item they could lay hands on in the community during the attack.

The Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, Gambo Isah, who confirmed the attack, however was unable to give details of the incident, saying he was in contact with the Duty Police Officer, DPO in charge of the area for more details.
