Crash of NAF Alpha-Jet averted in Kaduna

No aircraft in the inventory of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has crashed, contrary to reports in the media.

A source said that an Alpha jet crash was averted as the pilot, in dexterity, maneuvered the fighter jet and it landed safely.

According to a source, “an Alpha jet crash was averted in Kaduna State around 4pm. Sources say the pilot, Flight Lieutenant Dairo, who was able to avert the crash, landed safely and no casualties were recorded.”

The social media has been awash since Sunday evening with reports that a NAF aircraft has reportedly gone down “somewhere in Kaduna State.”

The report claimed that “the fighter jet left Yola, the Adamawa capital, this morning to go clear bandits.”
