Major Stephen Datong, the officer abducted on Tuesday morning by North West Terrorists (NWT) after the attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has been found dead.

It is not yet clear the circumstances under which Major Datong was killed or the location where his body was found.

The heavily armed terrorists had invaded the NDA barracks’ quarters, killing two officers and kidnapped Major Datong. The two officers killed had resisted their being taken by the terrorists.

2nd Lieutenant Onah, who sustained gunshot injury during the attack, is currently receiving treatment at NDA hospital.

Sources said that the terorists took advantage of the time when most people had gone to bed to launch their attack.

The two officers killed in their residential quarters were Lieutenant Commander Wulah and Flight Lieutenant CM Okoronwo.
