North West Terrorists attack Zango, Samaru, Kaduna State, kidnap 7 persons

The North West Terrorists attacked Zango community, Samaru, Zaria town in Kaduna State and abducted seven persons.

The Zango community, Samaru is located in the same general area with the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) main campus, Nigerian College of Aviation Technology and the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology.

The terrorists, who stormed the community around 1am on Friday with sophisticated weapons, shooting sporadically for about 30 minutes as the residents were sleeping. They barged into several residences and whisked seven of the residents away.

The attack and kidnap came barely 72 hours after the terrorists stormed the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) barracks in Afaka, Kaduna State, killing two military officers and abducting one.

While the Kaduna State Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, said he will inquire of the incident and revert, Senator Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central during the 8th National Assembly, confirmed the incident.
In a tweet on his verified Twitter handle, Sani said: “Early this morning, Bandits stormed Zango area Samaru, Zaria & kidnapped scores of people.

“Ahmadu Bello University main campus, College of Aviation and Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology located in the same area must take immediate preventive security steps to secure lives.”
