Niger Republic have rescued nine Nigerian soldiers who escaped a terrorists attack from Gatawa forest in Sokoto State, Northwest Nigeria.

The rescue was after an attack led by notorious terror bandit kingpin, Kachalla Turji, on a military base in Gatawa where Nigerian Security operatives comprising soldiers, Police Mobile Forces and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) personnel were located.

Sources confirmed that Kachalla Turji has relocated his camp from Fakai in Zurmi of Zamfara State to East of Isa, Tozai in Sokoto State due to incessant airstrikes by Nigerian Air Force (NAF) from Katsina.

It was learnt that the Nigerian troops retreated to Basira area in Niger Republic after the terrorists set a military vehicle ablaze, took away another vehicle, military patrol motorcycles and many arms.
