According to a study published in the journal ‘Frontiers in Endocrinology’, “Curcumin is a bioactive component found Curcuma longa, which exhibits several physiological and pharmacological properties such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, neuroprotective, and anti-diabetic activities.”

And it was found that the use of Curcuma longa or curcumin showed “significant reduction of lipid peroxidation, fasting blood glucose levels, Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1C), triglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL-c, C-Reactive Protein, systolic and diastolic blood pressure.”

Turmeric Tea For Diabetes: How To Make Turmeric Tea:

Considering these above factors, we bring you an easy and effective way to include turmeric in diabetes diet. It’s in form of a cup of soothing turmeric tea. Here’s how you can make it:

Step 1. Overnight soak half-inch raw turmeric in a glass of water.

Step 2. Boil the water well.

Step 3. Strain it and drink.

Here’s another detox turmeric tea option that includes an additional goodness of ginger and black pepper. However, the ones with diabetes are suggested to avoid adding honey (that is suggested in the recipe).
