The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) is set to retain the Anambra State Government House, Awka as its candidate, the former Governor of Central bank of Nigeria (CBN), Professor Chukwuma Soludo is currently leading in two-thirds of the State’s 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs).
Specifically, Professor Soludo has won in 14 LGAs.
Senator Ifenayi Uba of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) and Mr Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have won one LGA each.
But Senator Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is yet to win any LGA.
Results of six LGAs are being expected for the exercise to be brought to a close.
Although there are 21 LGAs in Anambra, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared that elections did not hold in Ihiala LGA.
In all, Soludo has a total of 89,490 votes across 14 LGAs, followed by Ozigbo with 43,142, and Uba with 35,788 votes.
