For second day running, terror bandits abduct travellers along Abuja-Kaduna expressway

For the second day running, terror bandits operating along the Abuja-Kaduna expressway, Kaduna State have abducted an unspecified number of travellers while on transit.

Sources said that the attack occurred around 4.30pm on Monday November 22 and that there were at least four abandoned vehicles with shattered windshields and flat tyres on the expressway after the attack.

It was learnt that an 18-seater bus belonging to Zamfara Mass Transit, a Toyota Yaris, a Volkswagen Golf, were among the vehicles attacked and their occupants were whisked away into a forest by their bandits’ abductors.

Monday’s attacks came barely 24 hours after bandits attacked commuters on the expressway, abducting several, and also killing Sagir Hamidu, a former gubernatorial aspirant with the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Zamfara State.

Sources also confirmed that Monday’s attacks and abductions occurred less than five kilometers away from the point the assailants operated on Sunday.
