Nigeria: Nine killed as terror bandits strike in 4 Kaduna State LGAs

Terror bandits have struck again in Chikun, Zangon Kataf, Igabi and Zaria Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Kaduna State, killing nine people .

Kaduna State Commissioner Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said in a statement on Friday that the figures were confirmed to the State government by the military and police authorities.

Aruwan said three people were killed when bandits barricaded the Buruku-Udawa section of the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road in Chikun LGA, adding that one person sustained gunshot injuries and is receiving treatment in hospital.

The Commissioner said in the Yola-Kadi general area also of Chikun LGA, bandits killed one and left another resident injured.

He added that bandits killed two people in Sako village, Zangon Kataf LGA. ‎Also in Zangon Kataf LGA, two corpses were discovered by a patrol team in the Kurfi-Magamiya general area.

‎In Zaria LGA, bandits killed one Alhaji Habibu in Saye village.

Governor Nasir El-Rufai was quoted to have expressed sadness at these reports and prayed for the repose of the souls of those killed in the attacks, while wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
