Troops foil ISWAP terrorists attacks on Special Forces School, Buni Yadi, Yobe State, kill 7 terrorists

Nigerian troops have foiled an attack by Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists at School of Special Forces, Buni Yadi and the surrounding community of Yobe State, Northeast Nigeria, killing seven of the terrorists.

Troops of the School of Special Forces worked with the Air Task Force (ATF) of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to foil the terrorist attack on Sunday.

Sources confirmed that the terrorists stormed the town at about 5pm, in two different groups. While the terrorists group attacked from ‘Charly Company,’ the other attempted to attack the School of Special Forces.

“The terrorists used cows as their shield in order to gain easy access without being noticed, but their evil plan and strategy were unraveled by the troops, who quickly engaged them in a gun battle,” one of the intelligence source told PRNigeria.

The source, while speaking further, said: “The ISWAP fighters, however, succumbed to the superior fire-power of our military troops and attempted to flee. But in the process, seven of them were gunned down, while two vehicles were destroyed.”
