Nigeria: Terrorists Strike Again in Zamfara State, Kidnap 2 Foreigners, 10 Others

Terrorists went on kidnapping spree in Zamfara State again, abducting 12 people including two foreigners.

The kidnaps came barely a week after over 200 people were killed and some decapitated in Anka and Bukkuyyum Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the same Zamfara State.

Sources disclosed to PREMIUM TIMES that the terrorists stormed the Yar Kuka community on Monday night, went straight to the monarch’s house where the village head, his wife and his brother, Sarki Musa, Hadiza Musa and Bawa Musa respectively were abducted.

Others include two Burkina Faso nationals who were engaged in mining activities in the village and a resident named Dahiru Ummaru.

In a related development, six other people comprising three women and three teenage girls were kidnapped in Kadauri village, Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

According to a trader, Muhammadu Tasiu, the bandits stormed his house in the early hours abducting his two wives and three daughters.

“I was around but in my own part of the house when they came. They didn’t fire a single shot. Apart from my wives and daughters, they also took away all my money. The names of my wives are Zainab and Asmau.

“The other woman is a neighbour.

“The bandits have called twice but did not make any meaningful negotiations with me” Tasiu added.

The spokesperson of the police in Zamfara, Mohammed Shehu, is yet to confirm the incident at the time of reporting.
