Former Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano and his wife, Ebelechukwu, have just been placed under arrest at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.
They left the Government House Awka venue of the inauguration and moved straight to the new Anambra State airport from where they flew to Lagos.
The former Governor and his wife were ont heir way to his permanent residence in Houston, Texax, the United States of America.
Obiano had earlier on Thursday handed over to Professor Chukwuma Soludo as Governor of Anambra State.
Sources said that former Governor Obiano and wife are being by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
They are expected to be moved to an EFCC detention facility before being moved to Abuja.
