Eze Urualla XI, HRM Eze E. E. O. Ezeanyika, Joins His Ancestors, Final Burial Rites Hold August 5-8, 2022

The Urualla Council of Ndi Eze, Ekwedashike, Ejiribiri, Ndi Nze na Ozo, Ndi Obu Ofo, Urualla Clan Assembly, Eze Urualla’s family and the entire people of Urualla, Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State on Sunday formally announced the death of its traditional ruler and Eze Urualla XI, His Royal Majesty (HRM), Eze Barrister Edwin Ekwosu Okosisi Ezeanyika.

According to a statement jointly signed by HRM Eze N. Okosisi Ezeanyika (Eze Urualla XII – Chief Mourner) HRH, Eze Dr C.U. Adigbonu (Okosisi IV, Eze Ozuakoli Urualla – for Ndi Eze), Professor T.O.C. Ndubizu (Chairman, Ekwedashike Urualla) and Professor Sam Ezeanyika (President-General, Urualla Clan Assembly), ” having completed the requisite traditions, rites and customs of the Urualla Clan, hereby inform you of his FINAL OUTING, taking place between 5th – 8th August, 2022 in Urualla Clan.”

The full statement reads: “We announce the transition of His Royal Majesty (HRM), Eze Barr. Edwin Ekwosu Okosisi
Ezeanyika, Okwara Mbiagu, Okosisi III, Eze Urualla XI, Paramount Ruler of Urualla, for which we are in gratitude to God Almighty.

“Until his transition, HRM Eze Barr. E. E. O. Ezeanyika was the Paramount Ruler of Urualla Clan in Ideato North L.G.A. of Imo State, consisting of eight (8) Autonomous Communities. He reigned for 45 years, beginning from 1977 when he was crowned Eze Urualla.

“HRM Eze E. E. O. Ezeanyika trained as a lawyer in England and joined the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn in 1964. He was the first set of Africans that Commonwealth engaged to work in Zambia. Thereafter, he returned to Nigeria to fulfil his destiny.

“He will be missed by his family and the Urualla community that he faithfully served till he joined his ancestors.

“We, in consultation with Urualla Council of Ndi Eze, Ekwedashike, Ejiribiri, Ndi Nze na Ozo, Ndi Obu Ofo, Urualla Clan Assembly, Eze Urualla’s family and the entire people of Urualla, having completed the requisite traditions, rites and customs of the Urualla Clan, hereby inform you of his FINAL OUTING, taking place between 5th – 8th August,
2022 in Urualla Clan.

“Urualla Clan will be honoured by your presence, as we come together to pay tribute to our legend. Please reserve the dates in honour of our revered royal father.
