Terrorists Attack Convoy Of Vehicles, Abduct Passengers, Burn Vehicles In Broad Daylight Along Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Highway

Terrorists have attacked a convoy of vehicles, setting about eight ablaze along Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Highway.

Though details of the attack are sketchy, a community leader, Muhammadu Umaru, said a yet to be ascertained number of passengers in the vehicles were abducted.

“We heard about 8 vehicles were set ablaze by the terrorists that attacked the convoy of cars from Manini to Kurega village along the highway. Many people were abducted but we are afraid to visit the scene,” he said.

Another resident of Kurega, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed that eight vehicles while some of the people inside the vehicles ran into the bush.

“The cars were attacked by the terrorists on their way to Kaduna at a place called Tashar Ayuba before kurega-Manini area. We don’t know the actual number of people abducted because nobody dared to visit there,” he said.

State Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Jalige Mohammed, couldn’t be reached for comment as calls to his phone remain unanswered.
