Explosion Rocks Catholic Church In Governor Akeredolu’s Hometown Owo, Ondo State, Many Feared Dead

A Sunday morning explosion has rocked St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, Owo, Owo Local Government Area (LGA) of Ondo State, Southwest Nigeria.

Owo is the hometown of Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

Sources noted that the explosion killed several people and injured many more.

An eyewitness Kehinde Ogunkorode, said the incident caused chaos in the vicinity, with residents fleeing for safety after being caught off guard.
