Vieira will travel to London to complete his medical in the next few hours before signing a lengthy contract that will keep him at the club until 2027.

The deal is viewed as good business by the London club after they managed to wrap up a deal with the Primeira Liga champions for less than Vieira’s quoted release clause of £43million.
