Davido Awards Indigent Ghanaian Student 5-year Scholarship To Study In Nigerian Private University

Popular Nigerian singer, Davido, has awarded a five-year scholarship to a Ghanaian student who had been unable to further his education.

In a tweet that went viral, the Ghanaian student, identified as Morro Suleyman, had an A1 parallel after he sat for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) in 2021 and was unable to proceed to the University due to financial reasons.

But on Wednesday, Davido once again showed why he is widely regarded as a man with a heart of gold as he changed the story of Morro Suleyman who almost gave up on education.

Suleyman, who lives in Ghana, had scored A1 parallel in WASSCE (West African Examination Council) in 2021 but could not get admission into a university for lack of funds.

The story of Suleyman was shared on social media and while most people read and looked away, Davido could not just fold his arms and do nothing about it.

Reacting, the DMW boss shared the snapshot of the story published by a blog, and requested for people to find him.

Davido wrote: “Who can please find this boy for me??”

A few hours later, the singer begged people to find young Morro, tweeting ‘Please locate him for me.”

Still anticipating, Davido yet tweeted: “Has anyone found him?”

Fortunately, Morro was eventually found and the singer granted him a university scholarship at Adeleke University in Osun State.

David announced the scholarship via his verified Twitter page on Wednesday.

He wrote: ”We have contacted Suleyman who lives in Ghana and he has been given a full 4/5 year scholarship to Adeleke university .. accommodation and allowance included! God bless y’all .. #wrblo.”

The gesture has got people talking with many hailing the singer as a man who truly has a heart of gold.
