Bishop David Abioye, second in command at Living Faith Worldwide has vowed that the church will show the All Progressives Congress (APC) for running on a Muslim-Muslim ticket for next year’s presidency.
The APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu unveiled his Muslim running mate, Kashim Shettima on Wednesday for the presidency.
A bitter Abioye, in a sermon said “to say that there is no smart headed Christian from the North to be a Vice President is the insult of the century.”
Aboye said the APC must retract that statement, saying that they had forgotten history.
According to him, Christian northerners projected the north in every way in this country, adding that the APC had drawn the battle line.
“They are drawing the line which we don’t intend to draw. We will show them that we are on the other side of the line.
“Let us get our PVX so that we can determine by ourselves what should happen in this nation. There is no state in the north where you don’t have Christians: proper, popular, intelligent, and progress-proven people.
“We are voting for capacity, not popularity, not money bags. Let us pray with one eye closed and watch with one eye open,” he said.
Abioye added that “Everyone that is killing this nation, the policies, the economy, the institutions, they must be out of place, This nation will move forward.”
