World Long Jump Medalist Ese Brume Carrying My Name To Where I’ve Never Been, Says Bishop Oyedepo

Presiding Bishop, Living Faith Worldwide, David Oyedepo, has extolled the virtues of Nigeria’s Long Jump sensation, Ese Brume, saying she has been carrying his name to places he has never been.

Brume won a silver medal at the just concluded World Athletics Championship in Oregon, United States.

Ese is a three-time African senior champion in the Long Jump and holds a personal best of 7.17 m. She is also the African junior record and African record holder in the event and also a five-time African junior champion in athletics.

Speaking in a sermon, Bishop Oyedepo praised Brume for her feat, saying “Ese brume dey carry me go where I no know.

“She is just carrying my name to places where I have never been.

“One of my daughters who won the Olympics bronze medal in Tokyo has won another silver medal in the World Athletics competition.

“I listened to her interview with the press and she identified with Jesus openly. She said it was the grace of God. That is how Jesus is lifting people today.

“She said, “I thank God for my father, Bishop David Oyedepo.” She is just carrying my name to where I have never been.”

Oyedepo added that after winning the bronze medial in Tokyo, she came and dedicated her medal to him, which she said she promised God.

“We are going places here, we are not cracking jokes,” he added.
