Clampdown As NBC Shuts Down AIT, Silverbird, Rhythm FM, Others Over Licence Issues

Nigeria’s National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) on Friday announced the shutdown of AIT, Silverbird, Rhythm FM and some State broadcasting stations over alleged non-compliance with license renewal.

Director General of NBC, Malam Balarabe Shehu Ilelah, told journalists in Abuja that based on the shutdown directive, all the affected broadcasting houses must suspend operation within the next 24 hours.
