Nollywood Actress Chioma Chukwuka Goes Public With Marital Woes, Drops Husband’s Name, Tweets “SingleNotSearchingTheMovie”

Popular Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Chioma Akpotha, has gone public with with issues in her marriage, speaking for the first time of her single status on social media.

Though Chioma has managed to keep her family and private life away from the public eye, but rumour mills kept speaking of her separation from her husband.

In a post on her Instagram page, the mother of two shared a cryptic post about being a single mum.

A look through her Instagram posts showed that she had ditched her husband’s surname.

In her most recent post, she wrote, “I am fearfully and wonderfully made ! I am Beautiful, lntelligent , Loving and Hardworking ! I am ENOUGH.
I AM WOMAN !

Akpotha was born on the 12th of March 1980, in Lagos State.

She hails from Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Anambra State, Nigeria.

Chioma’s acting career began with her debut in the movie “The Apple” in 2000. She also acted in ‘The Handkerchief’ in same year.

In 2007, she received the “Best Actress in a Lead Role” award at the African Movie Academy Awards for the movie Sins of the Flesh.

She has starred in more than 350 Nollywood movies.

Chioma has produced/co-produced over eight movies including the award-nominated blockbuster “On Bended Knees.”

Chioma who married Franklyn Akpotha in 2006 according to claims, was a victim of domestic abuse and is no longer in the marriage.
