No Rift Between Labour Party And Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council, Says LP Chairman

National Chairman of Labour Party (LP), Barrister Julius Abure says there is no rift between the party  and the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council.

Abure said in a statement he personally signed that Nigerians should disregard such speculations as they are “fake stories” existing in the “imagination of our political traducers.”

In a statement titled ‘STOP PRESS, Abure said: “My attention has been drawn to a short reaction by our National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Arabambi Abayomi while responding to a reporter’s enquiry via whatsapp wherein he said “We are not involved in Dr Okupe mischievous political shenanigans.”

“Kindly disregard the statement as it does not emanate from the leadership of the party.

“It is important to let our esteemed friends of the media to know that the leadership of the party fully endorsed the media outing of Peter Obi campaign council. The party was fully consulted and was fully represented by a good number of our National Working Committee led by the National Secretary.

“There is therefore no rift between the party  and the presidential campaign council as it’s being speculated in some quarters. Kindly disregard such fake stories as it is an imagination of our political traducers.

“Both the party and the PCC are united in enthroning a leadership that will salvage the nation and restore the lost glory of our Fatherland.”
