Bauchi Police Commissioner Reacts Riot Act Against Political Thugs, Directs Area Commanders, DPOs To Intensify Confidence Building Patrol, Avert Attack On INEC Facilities

  • Orders total clamp down on violators

In line with the directives of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba, the Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command, Umar Mamman  Sanda, has deployed the Command’s operational assets around the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) facilities for surveillance operations to checkmate criminal activities and to provide a conducive atmosphere for a hitch free political processes in the state.

These deployments is aimed at keeping a beady eye on INEC materials, to prevent any attempt to undermine security around INEC facilities, and to coordinate a timely response to distress calls. 

The CP has equally directed the Divisional Police Officers and their supervisory Area Commanders, to immediately ensure strategic deployment of officers at INEC offices in their respective Areas of responsibility (AOR) in a bid to bolster security and sustained surveillance around the facilities.

The CP while reiterating the constant deployments, ordered a total clamp down and prosecution of miscreants  found around the INEC facilities. 

In the same vein, the he further warned political thugs across the state to steer clear and turn away from INEC facilities/materials as the command will not hesitate to decisively deals with  any erring persons who decides to dare this warning.

To this end, the Command called on parents, Guardians, and leaders wielding various degrees of influence are enjoined to prevail on their wards and proteges against being used as cannon-fodders in destroying National critical infrastructure as contained in a statement by SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakili, Police Public Relations Officer.
