Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Floods Kogi State With Millions As Faleke Donates Fresh N500 Million For Christmas, New Year Celebrations

The Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council is flooding Kogi State State, North Central Nigeria with money ahead of the 25 February 2023 election as the Campaign Council Secretary and House of Representatives member, James Abiodun Faleke, just released a total of N500 million for members of the party in the State to celebrate this year’s Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Faleke made the donation when he met with Kogi State All Progressive Congress (APC) stakeholders and party candidates for Senate, House of Representatives, Kogi House of Assembly from Kogi East and West Senatorial districts at separate fora earlier this month.

He told them that based on his grassroots network mechanism, he is optimistic and capable of influencing the victory of other party candidates in the 2023 election.

In the aftermath of the flood disaster in the State, Faleke had donated N50 million to the flood victims. A week later, the party’s Presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his wife, Senator Mrs Remi Tinubu followed suit with N100 million donation to the flood victims. And last week, Tinubu’s son, Seyi, visited the Kogi State and gave similar undisclosed millions of Naira in donation.

Faleke said he has set up a disbursement committee that will reach out to the people of Kogi State in order to deliver their Christmas and New Year package.

While calling on members of the ruling APC to unite for the party victory in the 2023 elections, he admonished them to galvanize votes for his principal, Tinubu, and ensure that all the candidates of the party win their respective election.

Faleke emphasized that party candidates must up their games  by closing rank with party stakeholders as well as cementing their relationship to enable leaders to  build  confidence in them.

While noting that the party candidates need financial support to succeed in their election, he promised to release fund to support their campaigns.

Stating that he means well for every citizen of the State, the Tinubu/Shettima PCC Secretary also said he belongs to Kogi State political family, advising them to open up to accommodate every genuine Kogi State indigene who loves his principal (Tinubu) as this will add value to the project.

He advised everyone to concentrate on the 2023 Presidential elections for Tinubu and other party candidates in the State and not to be distracted by the Governorship election in Kogi State which comes up in November 2023 as it will be a ploy to derail them.

He therefore advocated the setting up of Truth And Genuine Reconciliations Committee to foster unity of purpose and direction in the State leadership of the party.

Responding, the party’s candidates and stakeholders at the meeting expressed their appreciations to Faleke for not abandoning them since the death of late Governor Abubakar Audu, emphasizing that he has been oiling and keeping the Audu/Faleke political structure alive through financial supports, provision of employments for their supporters and children and yearly empowerment programes.

The meeting at Kogi West was also attended by Senator Smart Adeyemi, Kogi West APC candidates, Local Government APC chairmen, party leaders and elders, youth and women and grassroots mobilisers.
