Nigeria: Police kill 2 Terrorists, Recover Weapons, Ammunition in Katsina State

The Katsina State Police Command said its operatives killed two terrorists at Yasore village, Batsari Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State.

Spokesperson of Katsina State Police Command, Superintendent of Police Gambo Isah, said that the terrorists, who were in their numbers had attacked Yasore village, shooting sporadically with Ak-47 rifles.

“However, on receiving the distress call, the DPO Batsari Division led a combined team of Police and Vigilante group to the area, engaged the hoodlums into a fierce gun duel and successfully repelled them.

“In the course of scanning the area, two corpses of neutralized terrorists, two AK 47 rifles, five AK-47 rifles magazines, 97 pieces of 7.62mm ammunition of AK 47 rifles, two ITEL GSM phones, bunch of criminal charms, a black bag containing the sum of two thousand, five hundred and eighty thousand naira, a lighter, a pen and a blue veil were recovered from them.”
