Guinea-Bissau: ECOWAS Stabilization Force Commander Leads Contingents, Members Of NDSFGB On Route Match

In an effort to strengthen relationships and build confidence between ECOWAS Stabilization Support Mission in Guinea Bissau (ESSMGB) and the host country, the Force Headquarters ESSMGB has conducted a route match within Bissau metropolitan.

The monthly exercise was led by the Force Commander, Brigadier General AM Grema and was massively participated by Force Headquarters (FHQ) Staff Officers, troops from the four contingents and National Defence and Security Forces of the Republic of Guinea Bissau (NDSFGB).

A statement from ESSMGB said “the exercise is also aimed at maintaining the energy and spirit of the troops and also build their confidence and zeal in pursuing the mission mandates of supporting the NDSFGB of stabilising the Republic of Guinea Bissau.

“Additionally, protect civilians and improve security capacity in accordance with the international humanitarian law.”
