General Okoro, GOC 2 Division Traces, Visits WO Adegoke (rtd), His First CSM As Young Officer

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 2 Division of Nigerian Army, Major General Valentine Okoro, has traced and visited his first Chief Sergeant Major (CSM), Warrant Officer (WP) Adegoke (rtd), alias DanArewa.

WO Adegoke was General Okoro’s first CSM when the GOC was posted as a Young Officer to 93 Battalion, Jos, Plateau State.

General Okoro traced WO Adegoke at his retirement base and paid him a surprise visit.

Generally in most Armies, a Sergeant Major is the highest enlisted rank. A Sergeant Major assists Officers in a battalion-sized force of 300 to 1,000 soldiers, and leads soldiers and junior officers placed directly under his command.
