99 “Stranded” Nigerians Repatriated From Niger Republic, Arrive Lagos

Ninety-nine “stranded” Nigerians were on Tuesday repatriated  from Niger Republic.

Southwest Coordinator, National Emergency Management Authority(NEMA), Mr Ibrahim Falinloye, said the returnees were assisted back to the country in a voluntary capacity by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).

“The returnees landed at about 14:15 hours in a chartered flight, Sky Mali with registration number TZ-SMA, Boeing 737-500 had 15 adult females, including two with medical cases and 76 adult males, seven female children, 15 male children, one female and infants, respectively, aboard the aircraft.”

They were received at the Cargo Wing of  Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos, upon arrival by several federal government agencies including the Refugee Commission, the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and Other Related Matters (NAPTIP), the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and Nigeria Immigration Service.
