Nigeria: Army Finance Corps Holds Passing-Out Parade For 9 Retired Generals

The Nigerian Army Finance Corps (NAFC) has organised a passing-out-parade for nine of its Generals who recently retired from service.

The Generals include Major General A.O. Adetayo, Major General J.E. Jakko, Major General A. R. Bakare, Major General A. B. Adamu, Brigadier General N. L. Isama, Brigadier General O. F. Ohunyeye, Brigadier General O.A. Adenuga, and Brigadier General II Adamu.

The nine were part of the 113 Generals who retired from the Nigerian Army on December 19, 2023.

Director of Army Public Relations,  Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, said in a statement on Sunday that the passing-out parade was held in honour of the retired senior officers on Friday.

According to General Nwachukwu: “The Nigerian Army Finance Corps had earlier honoured nine of its senior officers in a Pulling Out Parade organised to honour retired and senior officers of the Corps on Friday, 12 January 2024.

“The Nigerian Army Finance Corps WASA 2023 featured rich cultural performances by different cultural troupes, a tug of war between female soldiers and soldiers’ wives, presentation of awards to outstanding soldiers and prizes to performing cultural troupes.”
