Jeff Bezos has overtaken Elon Musk as the world’s richest man, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index.
The Amazon founder now has a net worth of $200bn (£158bn) after a surge in the share price of his company.
It marks the first time the 60-year-old has usurped his rival in three years.

Although Mr Musk has slipped to second place, he is still worth $198bn (£156bn), according to the index.
The Tesla founder, who also owns social network X, has lost $31.3bn from his net worth over the last year, while Mr Bezos has gained $23.4bn.
Mr Bezos and Mr Musk are followed in wealth by French tycoon Bernard Arnault, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and co-founder of Microsoft Bill Gates.
