Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has paid his first official visit to Headquarters 1 Division Nigerian Army (NA) Kaduna, where he again extended his heartfelt condolences to officers and men of the NA over the sad and barbaric killing of their comrades in Okuoma Community of Delta State by some criminals.
The Minister also commended the sacrifice and patriotism of the Nigerian Armed Forces adding that their relentless efforts to secure the nation from banditry, insurgency and other criminal acts, is heroic.
According to the Defence Minister: “I want to start by condoling you over the unfortunate death of our gallant men that were butchered by some idiots. We are going to get them and we are going to deal with them. You don’t kill our men and survive, you don’t kill our men and go scot free. We will find them and deal with them.”
He charged them not to relent on their resolve to free Nigeria from insecurity, adding that “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR is fully aware of the sacrifice, patriotism and combat readiness of the gallant troops to deal decisively with security threats militating against the peace, unity and progress of the country.”
Also speaking on the recent Kuriga schoolchildren kidnapping in Kaduna State, the Minister said that the Military and other security Agencies are closely coordinating efforts to see that the school children kidnapped are rescued.
Furthermore ,Badaru said that the present administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is working tirelessly to see that the nation is secured and at peace.
“The efforts of Mr. President in the security of this great nation is yielding positive results and very soon Nigerians will see the benefits of these efforts,” he assured.
The Minister charged the troops to keep their morale high and reassured them of the President, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces continuous support at all times.
