- “The economy is looking good. Don’t worry about that. We know that we have the challenge of inflation. It is okay, we will bring it down”
Amid severe hardship occasioned by his policies, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has tasked Nigerians to be upbeat about the nation’s economy, stating that things are looking good and that in the coming months, the citizens will experience positives.

President Tinubu, who spoke while addressing members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council at the State House Banquet Hall on Wednesday, said that his government would bring down the inflation rate.
He also said that his job is a hard job but since his Campaign Council promised Nigerians a good result, he has to work for it because there is no magic wand but to rest on the hope he campaigned on and push for every Nigerian to have joy.
President Tinubu said Nigeria’s revenue is improving and the country is taking its sovereignty and respect back around the world.
According to the President: “It is a hard job. You promised the people of Nigeria when you were campaigning for me for a good result. I have to work for it. No magic wand. I campaigned on hope. I have to rest on that hope, and push for that hope for the joy of everyone of us.
“The economy is looking good. Don’t worry about that. We know that we have the challenge of inflation. It is okay, we will bring it down.
“We are reengineering. Our revenue is getting better and we are taking our sovereignty and respect back around the world.
“Not that we have to go there and hire them to do the job for us. We are doing it ourselves. Whatever is happening to us, we have to solve it by ourselves.
“It is your efforts, your thinking, your resourcefulness, your investments, your dedication and hard work that can only get us there.”
