Falando: Troops Eliminate Banditry Kingpin, Scores Of His Fighters Terrorising Zamfara, Kebbi States

Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) have killed wanted bandit leader, Falando, alongside scores of his foot soldiers in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The warlord was responsible for coordinating the movement and exchange of kidnapped victims within camps in the Zamfara/Kebbi axis.

A defence intelligence source confirmed to @prnigeria  that the terrorists were killed on Saturday night in a deadly military operation along the Zamfara/Kebbi axis.

Falando was known to have had his enclave in a forest in the eastern part of Bukkuyum near Anka LGA of the state.

During the operation, troops of OPHD killed Bandit warlord Falando during an encounter around the Bukkuyum axis. His enclave is in a forest in the eastern part of Bukkuyum around the ANKA LGA general area.

Falando has been terrorising innocent civilians in Gwashi, Nasarawar Burkullu, and Wasagu villages in Bukkuyum LGA of Zamfara State.

“He met his waterloo today in the hands of our gallant troops under the tactical command of the 1 Brigade Commander, Brigadier General S Ahmed.

“Sometimes his gang crosses into Kebbi State, targeting the villages of Dirin Daji and Riba in Kebbi State,” the source said.

Another source said that the operation was comprehensive as no terrorist sighted was spared.

“The military worked on the intelligence in ambushing and eliminating the warlords and their followers,” the source said.
