Reverend Azzaman, the founder and Lead Pastor of The King Worship Chapel and Ministry Inc., was confirmed dead on Saturday after a fatal motor accident on his way back to Kaduna from Makurdi, Benue State.

Details surrounding the vehicular crash remain sketchy, but a close associate, Reverend Mohammed Mohammed, confirmed the incident via a Facebook post, saying Azzaman died alone in the vehicle.

“REV Azzaman Azzaman had an accident on his way back from Makurdi. He died alone in the car. May he rest in peace. May the Lord comfort us in the name of Jesus,” the post read.

Known for his outspoken presence on social media especially Facebook, Reverend Azzaman was widely admired for his bold theological debates and interfaith discussions.

He frequently engaged Muslim scholars, atheists, and sceptics, drawing large audiences through live video sessions and posts that tackled sensitive issues of doctrine and belief.

His sudden death has sparked an outpouring of tributes and grief nationwide. Many described him as a fearless preacher, a teacher of truth, and a voice of courage in the Christian community.

“A great soldier of the Lord takes a bow and goes home to wear his crown of glory after having fought a good fight of faith,” wrote Mustapha Mushas on Facebook.

Another tribute read: “This is a huge loss to the body of Christ. Rev. Azzaman stood firm in the face of opposition and taught us how to engage with truth and grace.”

Reverend Azzaman, who rose to prominence through his passionate public engagements and deep scriptural knowledge, leaves behind a wife and children. Funeral arrangements have yet to be officially announced.
