DSS Arrests Kaduna Social Media Influencer Over Alleged Cybercrime

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested Kaduna-based social media influencer, popularly known as Sarkin Sultan, over alleged involvement in cyber-related offences.

Sources told security analyst Zagazola Makama on Saturday that the influencer was apprehended in the early hours of the morning following a series of petitions lodged against him.

According to the sources, a complainant had alleged that the influencer threatened to expose her private images on social media, prompting security agencies to launch an investigation.

The sources further disclosed that preliminary findings uncovered several activities linked to the allegations.

They added that the suspect is expected to be charged to court on Monday after investigations are concluded.
