Bauchi State Commissioner of Women Affairs and Child Development, Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko, has been removed from office and as a member of the State Executive Council.
The development was approved by the State Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed as announced in a terse statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado.
The statement, released to journalists in the early hours of Monday by Gidado, partly read: “In that respect, the Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs & Child Development Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko has been relieved of her appointment with immediate effect.
“The Governor thank the Honourable Commissioner for her services to the State and wishes her success in her future endeavors.”
