- Iran Tells civilians to evacuate three ports in the UAE
Donald Trump claims “Many Countries” will send warships to keep the Strait of Hormuz open, in a post on Truth Social.
He says “hopefully” the UK, China, France, Japan, South Korea will be among them.
“In the meantime, the United States will be bombing the hell out of the shoreline, and continually shooting Iranian Boats and Ships out of the water. One way or the other, we will soon get the Hormuz Strait.”
The UK has not indicated it will send ships to the waterway.

Meanwhile, Iran has threatened attacks on US-linked oil facilities in the Middle East following Washington’s strikes on Kharg Island.
The “crown jewel” in Iran’s oil industry handles approximately 90% of Iran’s oil export shipments, with the capacity to load seven million barrels a day.
An Iranian army spokesperson warned it will target “all oil, economic, and energy infrastructures belonging to oil companies across the region that have American shares or cooperate with America” if energy and economic infrastructure in Iran is attacked.
Iran has also warned residents to evacuate three ports in the United Arab Emirates, Iranian state media reports.
Army spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaqari announced Iran would attack “the origin of the American enemy missiles”, which he said were fired at Kharg Island from shipping ports, docks, and hideouts in the UAE.
This includes Jebel Ali in Dubai, Khalifa in Abu Dhabi, and Fujairah port in the Fujairah emirate.
“These areas have become legitimate targets due to the presence and concealment of US military forces among civilian installations and will be targeted in the coming hours,” Fars News Agency reported.
“All citizens, port employees, and people present around these facilities are requested to leave these areas as soon as possible to save their lives.”
