No fewer than six people have been reportedly killed while several others injured in another attack by terrorists at Sabon Garin Pali in Alkaleri LGA of Bauchi State.

Reports from the area revealed that the terrorists attacked the village on Sunday night, shooting sporadically to scare the villagers away as they ransacked houses.

A resident narrated that they were asleep when the terrorists attacked at midnight catching them unawares.

According to the resident: “the terrorists entered from one house to the other searching for money and killing people in the process for no just cause. At the end of the operation which lasted for more than two hours, the terrorists six people were left dead while others were injured. They abducted a number of the residents.

And during the duration of the attacks, no security operative came to our rescue as were left at mercy of the armed terror bandits who took their time to carry out the operation unhindered.”

Meanwhile, the funeral prayers have been held for victims of the attacks, led by the Chief Imam of the village. Many residents and neighbouring communities were in attendance.

At the end of the prayers held in front of the Village Head’s Palace, the bodies were taken to the burial ground for committal to the ground.

But all efforts to get official reactions from Bauchi State Police Command failed as the Spokesperson, SP Nafiu Habib, did not respond to messages sent to his WhatsApp number.
