London: Defence Minister Seeks More Support For Nigerian Govt, Military

Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), has urged more support to the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN).

General Musa made the plea while addressing staff of the Defence Section of the Nigerian High Commission, London on the sidelines of the ongoing state visit to the United Kingdom by President Tinubu.

Speaking about insecurity, the Minister acknowledged the security challenges currently facing Nigeria, urging all Nigerians to continue to support the federal government.

He assured that terrorism and allied threats to national security will be defeated.

According to him: “We are having security challenges, but we will certainly overcome. I want to appeal to all Nigerians to continue to support the government and the Armed Forces for us to have a safe and secured country”.

According to a statement by the Media Adviser to the Minister of Defence, Colonel Timothy Antigha (rtd), General Musa expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve and thanked the British government for a wonderful reception.

The Defence Minister also held bilateral talks with his British counterpart, Lord Vernon Coaker, at Lancaster House, London.
