Buhari disgusted by CNN, BBC coverage of EndSARS

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed disgust at the news coverage of the EndSARS protests by the Cable News Network (CNN) and the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

The President complained in a message on his verified Twitter handle that their reports, along with other foreign news coverage of the protests which was forcefully put down at the Lekki Tollgate, Lagos by detachment of military and Policemen, was not balanced.

According to President Buhari, “it must be said that foreign press coverage of the ENDSARS violence was not balanced, especially from CNN and BBC.

“I was disgusted by the coverage, which did not give attention to the policemen that were killed, the stations that were burnt, and prisons that were opened.”
